Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: 1) Supporting the management of DOS's official LinkedIn presence, including branding and content strategy development; 2) Curating, creating, and designing LinkedIn content such as articles, reports, videos, and other communications materials that highlight DOS's mission and achievements; 3) Monitoring LinkedIn analytics and providing insights on content performance and audience engagement; 4) Supporting broader communication strategies by leveraging LinkedIn for external relations; 5) Designing core identity products that illustrate DOS's corporate vision, mission, and values; 6) Preparing content and copy for corporate briefings, presentations, fact sheets, and other communications materials; 7) Assisting in the development of websites, including layout and content; 8) Providing design support across a range of print and online products; 9) Supporting the development and implementation of larger communication strategies and efforts.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this internship should possess a broad range of educational backgrounds, typically pursuing studies in areas such as Communication, Journalism, International Relations, Web Design, Graphic Design, or Marketing. Familiarity with graphic design applications such as InDesign and Adobe Pro is desirable. Applicants must demonstrate a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter. Additionally, candidates should exhibit strong computer literacy in standard software applications, particularly MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
