The organization was formerly known as Agoro Community Development Association (ACDA). ERONet's mission is to work with vulnerable rural communities that are affected by poverty, conflict, displacement, and limited access to essential services. The organization focuses on empowering women, girls, youth, and marginalized households through community-led initiatives that enhance education, livelihoods, resilience building, and social inclusion. Currently, ERONet is implementing the Agoro Girls Education Sponsorship Pilot Project, which aims to support vulnerable girls in remaining in school through various forms of educational support, mentorship, family engagement, and collaboration between schools and communities. ERONet is dedicated to strengthening its visibility, accountability, and fundraising capabilities through professional documentation of project results and learning, which is crucial for its growth and sustainability.
Job Overview: The position of Online Volunteer is designed to support ERONet in the development of a professional Mid-Year Impact & Learning Report for its Agoro Girls Education Sponsorship Pilot Project. The volunteer will collaborate closely with ERONet staff to ensure that the report effectively communicates the project's achievements, challenges, and future priorities. This position not only contributes to the documentation of the project's progress but also plays a significant role in enhancing ERONet's visibility and credibility as a grassroots organization. The volunteer's work will help establish a strong foundation for future donor engagement and strategic communications, making it an impactful opportunity for someone looking to contribute to meaningful community development.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Online Volunteer will be responsible for several key tasks, including:
Reviewing project documents, activity reports, photos, and monitoring data provided by ERONet to gather necessary information for the report.
Developing the structure and narrative of the Mid-Year Impact & Learning Report, ensuring it is coherent and engaging.
Drafting clear and compelling content that highlights the project's achievements, challenges faced, lessons learned, and future priorities.
Supporting the development of impact-focused sections of the report, which will include project background, community challenges, mid-year results, beneficiary stories, lessons learned, and future outlook.
Recommending visual presentation approaches, such as infographics, dashboards, photographs, and impact snapshots, to enhance the report's appeal and effectiveness.
Providing recommendations for adapting the report into digital content suitable for website publication and social media visibility.
Participating in periodic virtual meetings and feedback sessions with ERONet staff to ensure alignment and gather insights throughout the report development process. The expected deliverables from this role include a draft of the Mid-Year Impact & Learning Report, recommendations for digital and social media adaptation, and suggested impact indicators and visual presentation concepts.
