Job Overview: The Associate Borrowing and Treasury Support Officer position is a full-time temporary role based at the EIB's headquarters in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and maintenance of core banking applications that support critical business areas within the bank. Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive and coordinate complex transversal projects in the area of Borrowings and Treasury, including new product implementations and functionality introductions.
Execute and manage key business processes related to the WallStreet Suite and APEX applications, ensuring efficiency and reliability of financial data.
Oversee the implementation of regular upgrades for the WallStreet Suite and APEX applications, contributing to business case development and user acceptance testing.
Supervise data quality in the configuration of instruments within the borrowing and treasury modules to ensure compliance with settlement, accounting, and valuation standards.
Provide proactive expert advice on complex issues related to financial instruments and regulations to support user community objectives.
Develop and maintain relationships with other banks and corporates to stay informed about best practices.
Manage relationships with system vendors and negotiate functionality delivery.
Collaborate with client directorates and other bank services as required to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required, ideally within the financial sector or as a business consultant in banking. Familiarity with project management principles and practices is essential, and a PM2 certificate is considered an advantage. Candidates should have a solid understanding of financial instruments and experience with trading platform configurations. Knowledge of software products used in the EIB's functional areas, particularly WallStreet Suite or APEX, is beneficial. Understanding of the bank's IT applications architecture and infrastructure is also advantageous.
