Job Overview:
The position of ET Consultant (Product Owner - eBusiness Client Solutions) is critical within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit of the World Bank Group. This role is designed to ensure that the development of enterprise financial systems aligns with the strategic objectives of the organization. The Product Owner will act as the voice of the customer within an Agile team, focusing on maximizing the value delivered through each iteration. This involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, product management, and delivery teams to ensure that the team backlog reflects the needs of customers and stakeholders. The Product Owner will be responsible for translating business needs into actionable backlog items, maintaining effective communication, and ensuring that the team remains focused on delivering high-value work. This role requires strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to synthesize stakeholder input into clear priorities for the Agile team, ultimately guiding the evolution of solutions to deliver measurable business value.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the ET Consultant (Product Owner) include: A. Backlog Management and Value Prioritization: Owning and maintaining the team backlog to ensure alignment with customer and business needs, prioritizing backlog items based on business value and strategic objectives, translating business needs into actionable user stories, and continuously refining backlog content for effective iteration planning. B. Customer Representation and Stakeholder Alignment: Serving as the voice of the customer, building relationships with stakeholders, synthesizing feedback to inform backlog priorities, and promoting strong feedback loops. C. Alignment with Product Strategy and Solution Vision: Partnering with Product Management to ensure alignment between product strategy and implementation, providing insights into realistic solutions, and contributing to planning and decision-making. D. Agile Team Collaboration and Delivery Support: Working closely with the Agile team on story clarification, supporting planning activities, facilitating informed decisions, and encouraging teamwork. E. Communication, Governance, and Decision-Making: Communicating effectively with stakeholders, evaluating trade-offs, and ensuring backlog decisions are grounded in business priorities. F. Domain Expertise and Operations of Client Portal Solutions: Demonstrating expertise in client portal solutions, supporting operations and maintenance, and serving as a liaison between business clients and IT development teams. G. Stakeholder Engagement and Cross-Team Collaboration: Building relationships with business stakeholders, coordinating issue resolution, and collaborating across teams to drive improvements.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the ET Consultant position include: - A Master's degree with 5 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing, operating, and maintaining complex financial applications. - Experience working in a Scaled Agile product team, with practical involvement in PI planning and retrospectives. - Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into clear priorities and user stories. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical stakeholders. - Experience working with virtual multi-cultural teams across multiple time zones.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. This educational background should be complemented by practical experience in the field, particularly in financial applications and Agile methodologies.

Experience:
The position requires a significant level of experience, specifically a minimum of 10 years in developing, operating, and maintaining complex financial applications. Candidates should have experience working in a Scaled Agile product team, demonstrating practical involvement in planning, execution, and retrospectives. This experience should also include the ability to translate business needs into actionable priorities for delivery teams.
