Job Overview: The Tech Volunteer position is designed for individuals who are skilled in technology and are passionate about supporting educational initiatives. Volunteers will play a crucial role in content creation that promotes reading, digital literacy, responsible social media usage, and arts education. The role involves creating engaging content that appeals to both youth and adults, with a focus on utilizing various social media platforms to reach a wider audience. Volunteers will also assist in setting up and facilitating Zoom sessions for art, education, and art therapy exercises, thereby contributing to the overall mission of enhancing educational outreach and mental health support through the arts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and curate content that promotes reading, digital literacy, and arts education across various social media platforms including YouTube, Twitter (X), Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Facebook.
Develop animated videos, Canva graphics, and original content that resonates with the target audience of youth/young adults (ages 13-21) and adults.
Participate in the organization and facilitation of Zoom sessions focused on art, education, and art therapy exercises.
Collaborate with other volunteers and team members to ensure the content aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
Engage with the audience on social media to foster a community around the campaign and encourage participation.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the content and sessions, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in content creation tools such as Canva, video editing software, and social media management platforms.
Strong understanding of digital literacy and responsible social media usage.
Experience in arts education or a background in the arts is highly desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
A passion for education, reading, and the arts, with a commitment to promoting mental health awareness.
