Job Overview:
The Technical and Reporting Volunteer will play a crucial role in supporting the Programme Management Unit (PMU) at the WHO Sudan Country Office. This position involves close collaboration with PMU members and technical units to ensure the timely completion of the biannual technical report for the SHARE project. The volunteer will be responsible for compiling, reviewing, and finalizing the report, ensuring that it meets the required standards and is submitted by the deadline of 15 July 202
  • Additionally, the volunteer will assist in developing a funding proposal, working closely with the PMU Team Lead and technical officers to gather necessary inputs and draft the proposal effectively. This role is essential for maintaining the quality and accuracy of reporting and funding initiatives within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of a funding proposal by collecting and consolidating technical inputs from relevant technical officers, drafting the proposal, and finalizing it according to the guidance provided by the PMU Team Lead.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to compile, review, and finalize the biannual technical report under the SHARE project, ensuring that the report is comprehensive, accurate, and submitted before the 15 July deadline.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for both the funding proposal and technical report.
  • Maintain clear communication with the PMU Team Lead and technical officers throughout the reporting and proposal development processes.
  • Ensure adherence to WHO's standards and guidelines in all documentation and reporting activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise reports. Familiarity with health-related topics and experience in report writing or proposal development are highly desirable. The volunteer should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in using standard office software and tools for document preparation and data management is essential.

Educational Background:
A background in public health, international development, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should ideally have completed or be pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, which provides a solid foundation for understanding health systems and reporting requirements.

Experience:
While prior experience in a similar role is beneficial, it is not mandatory. However, candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt quickly to the demands of the position. Experience in volunteer work or internships related to health or development sectors will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all reporting and proposal documentation will be conducted in English. Knowledge of Arabic or other languages relevant to the region would be considered advantageous but is not required.
