Job Overview:
The position of Business Analyst for the FMIS (Financial Management Information System) project involves supporting the implementation and delivery of the project. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality business requirements documentation, assisting in solution design and implementation, coordinating with stakeholders and technical teams, and supporting testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training activities. The role also includes delivering project documentation and reporting, ensuring successful project deployment and stabilization, and maintaining compliance with UNRWA's standards and project management frameworks. This position is crucial for ensuring that the FMIS project meets its objectives and delivers value to the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Business Analyst include conducting business analysis activities to gather detailed business requirements, preparing and maintaining Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, workflows, and process diagrams. The analyst will coordinate with business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams to ensure a clear understanding and implementation of requirements. They will assist in project planning, monitoring, and coordination activities, support solution design discussions, and participate in testing activities including system integration testing (SIT), UAT, and defect management. Additionally, the analyst will support data migration validation, develop user manuals and training materials, conduct user training sessions, and ensure compliance with UNRWA IMT standards and quality assurance processes. The role may also involve coordinating with external vendors and consultants involved in the FMIS implementation and performing other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. They should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in web application development using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server, along with experience in enterprise application development and implementation. Proficiency in developing APIs and integrations, as well as experience with ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies, is required. Candidates should also have experience with relational databases and SQL Server, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization. Familiarity with deployment environments and DevOps practices is desirable, and experience with GIS integrations and dashboards is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree from an accredited institution in fields such as Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the technical and business aspects of the FMIS project and for effectively performing the duties of the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in web application development, particularly using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server. Candidates should have a solid background in enterprise application development and implementation, as well as experience in developing APIs and integrations. The level of experience should also encompass familiarity with various programming languages and technologies relevant to the role, ensuring that the candidate can effectively contribute to the FMIS project.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Arabic is required for this position, as these are the working languages of UNRWA. The ability to communicate effectively in both languages is essential for coordinating with stakeholders, conducting training sessions, and preparing documentation.

Additional Notes:
The consultancy is based in UNRWA's Headquarters in Amman, Jordan, and the selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of JOD 996.42 for each fully completed month. The contract duration is 9 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the availability of funds, continuing need, and satisfactory performance. The role operates under the supervision of the Head of the Enterprise Business Solutions Section within the Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID).
