Job Overview: The Líder de Equipo Alojamiento e Infraestructura / Agua, Saneamiento e Higiene position is crucial for implementing NRC's programmatic strategy in the area of housing and infrastructure, as well as water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). The role involves leading project cycle management (PCM) activities, focusing on the implementation and evaluation of projects aimed at improving access to housing solutions, educational facilities, and community infrastructure for affected populations. The leader will direct their team to ensure that interventions enhance health conditions, promote the right to water and sanitation, and facilitate access to humanitarian assistance while ensuring accountability and community participation. This position is integral to the strategic framework of Basic Competencies (CB) and the corresponding Theories of Change (ToC), aligning with NRC's global strategies in shelter and infrastructure, as well as WASH.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Líder de Equipo include supervising and managing project staff, implementing action plans for projects while ensuring compliance with activities, budget management, and documentation. The leader will conduct regular monitoring of project implementation, identifying progress, challenges, and necessary adjustments. They will ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines, focusing on vulnerable populations based on identified needs. The role also involves promoting technical improvements, preparing periodic progress reports, and facilitating capacity development for project staff. A minimum of four years of relevant work experience in humanitarian contexts is required, along with documented results related to the position's responsibilities. Candidates should have intermediate proficiency in English and a strong understanding of their leadership skills. Knowledge of national and international humanitarian standards, protection principles, and rights related to housing and property is essential. Experience working with vulnerable communities and familiarity with Colombian state structures and public policies for conflict victims and migrants are highly valued.
