Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator position is integral to the successful implementation of the project titled 'Enhancing Competitiveness and Sustainability Across Kosovo’s Dairy Value Chain.' This project is funded by the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) and aims to enhance dairy production capacity, improve sector development, and ensure market integration in Kosovo. The Project Coordinator will work closely with FAO Kosovo and REU technical teams to coordinate project activities, ensuring effective collaboration with national stakeholders and partners. The role requires a strong focus on resilience, milk quality improvement, income generation for producers, and sustainability of milk collection. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the project's implementation, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all activities align with the project's objectives and deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including leading and coordinating the timely implementation of the project in collaboration with the Kosovo Association of Milk Producers (KAMP) and relevant local institutions. They will regularly review and monitor project activities in line with the project's results framework and milestones. The Coordinator will organize and follow up on project coordination meetings, support the selection and engagement of project beneficiaries, and draft terms of references for local consultants. They will establish reporting deadlines, review technical deliverables, and maintain regular engagement with beneficiaries to identify needs and challenges. Additionally, the Coordinator will prepare progress reports and a terminal report for the donor, support backstopping missions, and contribute to communication and outreach materials regarding the project's activities and results.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in agriculture, agribusiness, veterinary science, rural development, agricultural economics, dairy or food science, project management, or a related field. They should have at least five years of relevant working experience in agriculture-related projects, value chain development, rural development, or project management. A working knowledge of English at level C is required, and candidates must be nationals of Kosovo.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in fields related to agriculture, agribusiness, veterinary science, rural development, agricultural economics, dairy or food science, or project management. The degree must be obtained from an institution accredited or recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant working experience in areas such as agriculture-related projects, value chain development, rural development, or project management. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to manage and implement projects effectively, particularly in the agricultural sector.

Languages:
A working knowledge of English at level C is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required.
