Job Overview:
In the role of Senior Technical Program Manager within the Global Technology Operations (GTO) Team, the individual will be responsible for leading the strategy, design, and implementation of productivity and collaboration services that are essential for the foundation's mission. This position requires a focus on creating cohesive employee experiences through the integration of various platforms, particularly the Microsoft 365 suite, which includes Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, Copilot, and Viva. The Senior TPM will ensure that these services are not delivered as isolated solutions but rather as a unified experience that enhances employee productivity and engagement. The role also involves translating business needs into strategic initiatives, aligning roadmaps across service owners, and executing plans in collaboration with engineering, HR, and business teams. The Senior TPM will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis and strategic communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Technical Program Manager will be tasked with defining and evolving a multi-year strategy for employee productivity and collaboration experiences. This includes aligning platform investments and initiatives with enterprise priorities, leading a portfolio of interdependent programs that span various collaboration tools and employee engagement platforms, and ensuring that services are delivered as a cohesive experience. The role requires orchestrating delivery across multiple product and service teams, driving prioritization and trade-offs among stakeholders, and implementing a federated change management model to facilitate high-quality adoption of services. The Senior TPM will also develop executive-level narratives and briefings, influence cross-functional teams, define success metrics for experience outcomes, and continuously improve services based on qualitative and quantitative insights. Additionally, the role involves identifying and resolving systemic issues that impact service effectiveness and employee experience.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent practical experience. They should have a proven track record of leading cross-platform or enterprise-level programs in digital workplace environments, demonstrating the ability to drive adoption and engagement at scale. The ideal candidate will have experience working in federated or matrixed organizations, expertise in program and portfolio management, and a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and employee experience platforms. Excellent executive communication skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and experience applying human-centered design principles are also essential. Candidates should be adept at analytical problem-solving and familiar with agile delivery models and continuous improvement practices.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position, with a preference for fields related to technology, business, or management. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas may be advantageous but are not explicitly required.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience in roles that involve leading programs in digital workplace, productivity, or collaboration environments. Candidates should have a consistent history of influencing stakeholders without direct authority and experience in managing complex, interdependent programs across various teams.

Languages:
While the job description does not specify mandatory languages, proficiency in English is implied as the primary language of communication. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not explicitly required.

This position is based in Seattle, Washington, and requires unrestricted work authorization in the United States, as the foundation does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. The salary range for this position is between $190,100 to $294,700 USD, with higher ranges for specific locations like Seattle and Washington D.C. The foundation aims to balance competitive pay with its mission-driven approach, and new hires typically fall between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range based on their skills and experience.
