Job Overview:
The People & Culture (P&C) Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the effective delivery of core workforce processes, data management, and coordination of P&C activities within the Global Emergency Unit (EmU). This position is particularly focused on the Global Surge Team (GST) and is essential for ensuring that employee data, systems, and processes are accurate, up-to-date, and well-coordinated to support operations in a dynamic context. The P&C Associate is expected to be hands-on and detail-oriented, requiring a strong ability to learn quickly, follow and apply processes consistently, and manage information with a high level of accuracy. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across P&C, Finance, and EmU’s Deployment Team, supporting day-to-day operations while helping to identify and resolve process or data issues. Success in this role hinges on strong attention to detail, learning agility, and the ability to think across systems, understanding how data, processes, and teams connect, and providing problem-solving support when misalignments occur. Duties and Responsibilities:
The P&C Associate will be responsible for several key areas, including Global Surge Team Process Management, People Data Management and HRIS Integrity, P&C Analytics and Continuous Improvement, Communications Management, and Other Administrative Support. In terms of Global Surge Team Process Management, the Associate will partner with EmU’s Deployment Management Team to ensure GST benefit processes are managed accurately and timely, conduct monthly audits in Workday, and coordinate with EmU Finance to validate GST-related workforce cost data. They will also provide administrative support for P&C initiatives impacting GST staff, maintain organized records related to GST processes, and ensure that GST policies are consistently applied. For People Data Management, the Associate will perform accurate data entry and maintenance in HR systems, conduct regular data quality checks, and support the improvement of HR data processes. In P&C Analytics, they will compile workforce reports, track mandatory training completion, and assist in implementing process improvements. Communications Management will involve maintaining P&C information on internal platforms, drafting communications, and responding to P&C-related queries. Lastly, the Associate will provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support across P&C activities, ensuring timely follow-up on action items and clear documentation of tasks and decisions.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Candidates should have approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience in HR/P&C, administration, data management, or operations. Exposure to fast-paced or international work environments is considered an advantage. Technical skills required include moderate experience with HR systems like Workday, experience in data entry and tracking, and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets. A general understanding of HR/P&C processes and the importance of data accuracy and confidentiality is also necessary.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. Equivalent experience may also be considered in lieu of a formal degree. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of human resources and organizational management, which are critical for the role.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience in HR/P&C, administration, data management, or operations. This level of experience is necessary to ensure that the candidate is familiar with the processes and challenges associated with human resources in a dynamic environment, particularly in emergency settings.

Languages:
English proficiency is required for this position, with fluency in Arabic or French being preferred. This multilingual capability is important for effective communication within the diverse teams and stakeholders that the P&C Associate will interact with.
