Job Overview:
The NATO International Staff is seeking applicants for temporary positions that arise occasionally at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Candidates must be nationals of NATO member states and possess skills in relevant disciplines such as political affairs, public diplomacy, project management, finance, IT, Cyber, legal affairs, translation, HR, or administrative support. The nature of these temporary positions requires candidates to be available for employment on short notice, which may involve having a valid NATO security clearance or the ability to reactivate one swiftly. This role is ideal for individuals looking to contribute to NATO's mission while gaining valuable experience in an international environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for these temporary positions may vary depending on the specific area of expertise required. Candidates may be involved in administrative support, legal affairs, finance (including budgeting and accounting), procurement and purchasing, logistics, information knowledge management, event and conference management, project and programme management, engineering, information technology, human resources, cyber defense/security, public diplomacy, linguistic services, defense planning, and political affairs. Each candidate will be expected to demonstrate competencies such as clarity and accuracy in their work, customer service orientation, empathy, flexibility, initiative, organizational awareness, and teamwork. The positions may require collaboration with various teams and departments within NATO, contributing to the organization's overall mission and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have relevant experience in one of the specified areas, such as administrative support, legal affairs, finance, procurement, logistics, information management, event management, project management, engineering, IT, human resources, cyber defense, public diplomacy, linguistic services, defense planning, or political affairs. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate competencies including clarity and accuracy, customer service orientation, empathy, flexibility, initiative, organizational awareness, and teamwork. A valid NATO security clearance is also a requirement for employment.
