Job Overview: The HQ Security Officer is a pivotal role within the Protective Security & Emergency Service Branch (PSESB) of NATO. This position is responsible for the application of NATO HQ Security Regulations, which includes investigating incidents of misconduct and security breaches, as well as setting preventive measures to avoid future infractions. The officer will also oversee construction projects at NATO HQ, providing security advice and ensuring compliance with established regulations. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require working outside normal hours and occasional travel. The HQ Security Officer will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of security measures and will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and safety of NATO's operations.
Duties and Responsibilities: The HQ Security Officer will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting the Head of HQ Security in implementing security measures, enforcing security regulations, and managing access control. The officer will investigate security incidents, propose corrective actions, and draft security procedures in collaboration with other units and the Host Nation's Security Authorities.
