Job Overview: The Human Resources Assistant position is situated within the Human Resources Management Section of the Administration and Conference Management Division at ECA. The role involves providing experienced-level support in the administration of staff benefits and entitlements, ensuring adherence to established human resources rules and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: The Human Resources Assistant will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Administration of Contracts and Staff Movements: Carrying out onboarding processes for selected candidates, processing personnel actions, issuing Letters of Appointment, monitoring contract expiration dates, and processing contract extension requests. Managing temporary and permanent staff movements, including inter-agency agreements, and handling offboarding and related separation personnel actions.
Administration of Benefits and Entitlements: Reviewing reports and records to process staff benefits and entitlements, maintaining personal status of staff members, and administering entitlements related to dependents. Responding to queries on staff entitlements and providing guidance based on established policies. Processing travel requests and reviewing time and attendance requests for accuracy.
Support to Reporting and Process Coordination: Compiling and organizing data for routine reports, maintaining HR records, updating standard information materials, and drafting routine correspondence.
General Responsibilities: Monitoring compliance with regulations, assisting in data collection and analysis, and participating in special HR projects as needed. The role requires a commitment to professionalism, client orientation, and effective planning and organizing skills.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with training in human resources or administration being desirable.
