Job Overview: The UN Volunteer will play a crucial role in supporting the Individual Giving Program of UNICEF Brazil, which currently has over 219,000 active donors. The primary responsibilities will include collecting, monitoring, and reconciling thousands of monthly transactions from various sources such as banks, credit cards, and utility companies. The volunteer will be tasked with maintaining a strong database, ensuring accurate data import and export, and addressing specific demands or exceptions to automated processes. This position requires a proactive approach to data management, ensuring that all donor information is accurately recorded and maintained. The volunteer will work under the supervision of the Fundraising Specialist and will be involved in data validation, quality control, and analysis of campaign results, contributing to the overall operational and analytical management of the fundraising area.
Duties and Responsibilities: The UN Volunteer will undertake a variety of tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to: daily updates of the UNICEF database, managing and monitoring operational processes related to Donor Care and Acquisition campaigns, performing validations and quality controls on information managed in Salesforce and other systems, contacting suppliers and telemarketing agencies for validation and reconciliation of information, verifying the correct implementation of changes on payment service provider platforms, monitoring priority cases and incidents related to donors and campaigns, providing support in the development and updating of validation and monitoring tools, preparing reports and supporting information analysis for decision-making, and contributing to the continuous improvement and documentation of data management processes. The volunteer may also be required to perform other related tasks as needed by the Business Intelligence team.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. Proficiency in data management and experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, are highly desirable. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to UNICEF's mission and values, including care, respect, integrity, trust, and accountability. Additionally, the ability to manage ambiguity and complexity, innovate, and embrace change is essential for success in this role.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, business administration, data management, or a related discipline is required. Additional training or certifications in data analysis, fundraising, or project management would be advantageous.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of experience in data management, fundraising, or a related field. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in a volunteer capacity is a plus. Familiarity with financial reconciliation processes and donor management systems will be beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Brazil. Proficiency in English is also required, as it may be necessary for reporting and communication with international teams. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, particularly Spanish.
Additional Notes: This is a national UN Volunteer assignment, and the volunteer will be responsible for arranging their own housing and living essentials. The position is classified as a family duty station with good living conditions and access to health services. The UN Volunteer will be part of the insurance plan and will receive a Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA).
