Job Overview:
The ICLA Social Support position is designed to assist with the daily implementation of the Information, Counseling, and Legal Assistance (ICLA) program at the Karsadula and Guradhamole IDP sites, as well as in the surrounding host communities. The role involves working closely with ICLA officers to ensure that program activities are executed according to the established plan of action. The position requires a commitment to NRC's mission and values, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with community members and local authorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various aspects of community mobilization, information dissemination, and administrative tasks related to case management, thereby contributing to the overall success of the ICLA program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the ICLA Social Support position include: acting as a liaison between the community and ICLA staff by relaying information as directed; organizing mobile group information sessions, which involves preparing materials, registering participants, and arranging venues; maintaining communication records with beneficiaries, including updating contact lists and tracking sheets; supporting administrative tasks related to case management, such as filing, data entry, and document organization; assisting with logistical arrangements for community outreach and awareness activities, including venue setup and distribution of information, education, and communication (IEC) materials; keeping organized records of documents, meeting notes, and routine correspondence; ensuring adherence to ICLA policies, donor agreements, work plans, budgets, and procurement plans; and performing any other relevant tasks as requested by the line manager.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires candidates to possess a Grade 12 diploma or higher. Candidates should demonstrate basic communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to follow instructions, organize tasks, and meet deadlines. Context-related skills, knowledge, and experience in supporting community mobilization or similar activities in a humanitarian or recovery context are considered assets. Additionally, candidates should have basic experience interacting with community members and local authorities, as well as basic administrative and record-keeping skills. Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in local languages will be considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates applying for the ICLA Social Support position should have a minimum educational background of Grade 12 or a diploma in a relevant field. Higher educational qualifications may be preferred, depending on the applicant pool and specific organizational needs.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have some experience supporting community mobilization or similar activities within a humanitarian or recovery context. While extensive experience is not mandatory, familiarity with community engagement and basic administrative tasks will be beneficial. Experience in interacting with community members and local authorities is also advantageous, as it will enhance the candidate's ability to perform effectively in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is a mandatory requirement for this position. Additionally, proficiency in local languages is considered an asset, as it will facilitate better communication with beneficiaries and community members.
