Job Overview:
The Communications Analyst (Visual and Graphic Design) plays a crucial role in the UN Women Regional Office for the Arab States by contributing to the design and development of visual communication materials. This position requires close collaboration with the Regional Communication Specialist and the Regional Advisor on Women, Peace and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security/Humanitarian Action (WPS/HA). The analyst is responsible for maintaining brand consistency across all communications and ensuring adherence to UN Women’s corporate branding and style guidelines. The role involves leading the development of creative assets for various campaigns and initiatives, producing visual content for reports and publications, and conceptualizing engaging social media materials. The analyst will also work on integrating and harmonizing communication efforts across different teams within the organization, ensuring a unified visual identity and consistent messaging.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will act as the focal point for visual communications within the thematic teams of the UN Women Regional Office for the Arab States and will be responsible for maintaining brand consistency. Key duties include providing guidance to country offices and HQ on visual communications, leading the development of creative assets for campaigns, and contributing to the design of various communication materials such as reports, brochures, and infographics. The analyst will also be involved in producing social media content, ensuring compliance with branding guidelines, and collaborating with external graphic designers. Additionally, the role requires contributing to the improvement of internal document management systems and performing other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the Regional Office.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, communications, public relations, journalism, or a relevant field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. The position requires at least 2 years of professional work experience in graphic design, communications, media operations, or advocacy material development. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and experience in social media video production are essential. Familiarity with UN branding guidelines and experience in gender equality issues are desirable.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in graphic design, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree may be accepted with additional qualifying experience. This educational background ensures that candidates have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively in the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of professional experience at the national or international level in relevant fields such as graphic design, communications, and media operations. Candidates should have experience in producing media-facing visual assets and familiarity with social media outreach. Experience in video production from conceptualization to publication is also required, along with knowledge of graphic production processes and printing.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the organization and with external partners.
