Job Overview:
The AAP/DI IMS Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the management, integration, and analysis of data related to Accountability to Affected People (AAP) and Disability Inclusion (DI) within the UNFPA Afghanistan Country Office. This position is integral to strengthening the information management architecture of the Country Office by ensuring that AAP data streams are effectively integrated into the Country Office Information Management System (IMS), known as the 'Orange Room'. The analyst will be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and utilizing community feedback, accessibility monitoring, and inclusive programming data to inform program decision-making. The role also involves supporting the AAP/Disability Inclusion Working Group by producing data analyses, dashboards, and evidence that enable program teams and partners to respond effectively to community feedback and enhance inclusive service delivery. The AAP/DI IMS Analyst will work closely with program teams, implementing partners, and coordination mechanisms to ensure consistent data collection, reporting, and knowledge management related to accountability and disability inclusion initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The AAP/DI IMS Analyst will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Information Management and System Integration: - Manage and maintain information management systems and databases related to AAP and Disability Inclusion. - Integrate AAP-related data into the Country Office Information Management System ('Orange Room'), ensuring data consistency, accessibility, and quality. - Develop and maintain data dashboards, visualization tools, and reporting templates to facilitate program monitoring and analysis. - Ensure that AAP and Disability Inclusion indicators are integrated into program monitoring systems and reporting frameworks. - Promote standardized data collection and reporting practices across programs and implementing partners.
  • Program Delivery, Monitoring, and Reporting: - Ensure that AAP and Disability-related information and feedback inform the Country Office's annual planning, evaluations, and the design of new country programs. - Identify opportunities for innovative ideas in disability inclusion programming and implementation. - Compile and analyze data generated through community feedback mechanisms, partner reporting systems, and program monitoring tools. - Produce analytical reports, data summaries, and visualization products highlighting key trends related to community feedback, accessibility, and inclusive service delivery. - Support program teams in interpreting data and identifying opportunities to strengthen accountability and inclusive programming. - Contribute to the preparation of internal reports, program updates, and donor reporting related to AAP and Disability Inclusion.
  • Support to AAP/DI Working Group: - Provide information management and analytical support related to the integration of AAP and DI across programs. - Lead coordination functions and promote joint advocacy efforts in the area of Disability Inclusion, preparing data products and analyses that inform program discussions and decision-making. - Document good practices, lessons learned, and analytical insights related to community engagement and disability-inclusive programming.
  • Coordination and Capacity Building: - Provide technical support to UNFPA staff and implementing partners on data collection tools, reporting templates, and information management practices related to AAP and DI. - Support capacity building of program teams and partners on feedback data management and disability-disaggregated data collection. - Collaborate with program and coordination teams to ensure effective data flow between field operations, implementing partners, and the Country Office information management systems. - Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designated authority.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the AAP/DI IMS Analyst position should possess the following qualifications: - Advanced university degree or equivalent in information management, statistics, data science, social sciences, or a related field. - Relevant professional experience in information management, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or program support is desirable. - Experience supporting databases, dashboards, or information management platforms is desirable. - Familiarity with community feedback mechanisms, accountability systems, or inclusive programming approaches is desirable. - Experience working with UN agencies, NGOs, or humanitarian coordination mechanisms is an asset. - Strong analytical and data visualization skills are desirable, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings clearly and effectively.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have an advanced university degree or equivalent in fields such as information management, statistics, data science, social sciences, or a related area. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of data management and analysis within the context of AAP and Disability Inclusion.

Experience:
Candidates should have relevant professional experience in information management, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or program support. Experience in supporting databases, dashboards, or information management platforms is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with community feedback mechanisms, accountability systems, or inclusive programming approaches will be beneficial. Experience working with UN agencies, NGOs, or humanitarian coordination mechanisms is considered an asset, as it demonstrates the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Languages:
Fluency in English and a local language, either Dari or Pashto, is required for this position. A working knowledge of other UN languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a diverse and multilingual environment.
