Job Overview:
The Head of Department - Grant and Partnership will work under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director of Programs. This role is crucial for leading the development and implementation of grants management processes throughout the entire project cycle, ensuring that all activities are conducted with quality, efficiency, and compliance with relevant standards. The successful candidate will coordinate high-quality proposal development in collaboration with program and operations teams and will play a key role in supporting the organization's funding strategy. Additionally, the position involves managing all internal and external reporting processes, overseeing the grants team, and building the capacity of team members and other relevant staff involved in grant management. The Head of Department will also engage with donors to maintain strong, long-term relationships and provide strategic oversight of partnership and localization activities. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of grants management processes across the entire project cycle, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance.
• Coordinate high-quality proposal development with program and operations teams.
• Support the funding strategy of Action contre la Faim.
• Manage all internal and external reporting processes related to grants.
• Oversee the grants team, providing leadership and capacity building for team members and relevant staff.
• Engage with donors to maintain strong, long-term relationships.
• Provide strategic oversight of partnership and localization activities.
• Promote Gender Equality and adhere to ACF Gender Minimum Standards.

Required Qualifications:

• University degree in a related field such as fundraising, public relations, communications, development, humanitarian aid, or international relations.
• Significant experience working with International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs).
• At least 5 years of experience in humanitarian and/or development fundraising from institutional donors in a fundraising or related NGO role.
• Technical skills in drafting and compiling project proposals, budget monitoring, and grant management.
• Experience in narrative and financial reporting for a variety of donors.
• Strong knowledge of donor guidelines and regulations.
• Proven ability to establish and formalize partnerships.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance.

Educational Background:
A university degree in a relevant field such as fundraising, public relations, communications, development, humanitarian aid, or international relations is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of grant management and partnership development in the humanitarian sector.

Experience:
The position requires significant experience, specifically at least 5 years in humanitarian and/or development fundraising from institutional donors. This experience should be gained in a fundraising or related role within an NGO, demonstrating a strong understanding of the sector and the ability to navigate the challenges associated with grant management and donor engagement.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent report writing skills.
