Job Overview:
The role of Online Volunteer is crucial in revitalizing the YELL (Youth Empowerment and Leadership) directories, which include the Youth Leaders and Environmental Organisations in Malaysia. These directories are intended to assist young individuals in finding role models, partners, and opportunities. However, the current state of these directories is concerning due to outdated information, limited entries, and potential broken links, which could diminish user trust. The Online Volunteers will play a significant role in auditing the existing content and sourcing new, relevant profiles to enhance the directories. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by reinforcing YELL's position as a reliable connector within Malaysia's environmental community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Each Online Volunteer will be tasked with reviewing and updating the existing entries in the directories. They will verify the activity status of each person or organization using various sources, including social media, websites, and recent news articles. Volunteers will also check the accuracy of key information such as location, focus area, and role, and will flag any broken links or outdated information for removal consideration. Additionally, they will recommend minor updates where necessary, such as changes to social media handles or roles of individuals. For new additions, volunteers will identify credible youth leaders or environmental organizations that are not currently listed and will log these profiles using a provided Google Sheets template, ensuring that all suggested profiles are active, relevant, and publicly verifiable. All updates and new suggestions will undergo review by YELL before publication.

Required Qualifications:
Volunteers should possess strong research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to verify information from various sources. Familiarity with social media platforms and online research tools is essential. Volunteers should also have a good understanding of the environmental landscape in Malaysia and the role of youth leaders in this context. Effective communication skills are necessary to articulate findings and suggestions clearly.

Educational Background:
While specific educational qualifications are not explicitly stated, a background in environmental studies, social sciences, or related fields would be beneficial. Volunteers should have a keen interest in youth empowerment and environmental issues.

Experience:
