Job Overview: The position involves preparing and facilitating a two-day training session on Gender Sensitive Budgeting (BSG) aimed at enhancing the skills of representatives from the Civil Coalition for Gender Sensitive Budgeting. The training will focus on advocacy tools related to BSG and will take place in either Tangier or Marrakech. The consultant will be responsible for conducting a needs analysis, producing a training kit, and delivering the training session. The consultant will report to the Program Management Specialist and will be supported by the HR focal point for contract and payment-related queries. This role requires a strong understanding of gender issues and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a needs analysis for training participants by creating and distributing an online questionnaire to identify training needs within the coalition.
Develop a comprehensive training kit in both French and Arabic, including PowerPoint presentations, group work instructions, and case studies.
Facilitate a two-day in-person training session on BSG in Tangier from June 12 to June 14 or in Marrakech from June 19 to June 2
Prepare a final report summarizing the training outcomes, limited to a maximum of 30 pages.
Ensure timely completion of deliverables, including the needs analysis report and training kit by June 11, 2026, and the training report by the end of the training sessions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong academic background with a Master's degree or equivalent in political science, economics, social sciences, international relations, law, gender studies, or related fields. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree combined with two additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in developing training programs and materials related to public policy, with at least two experiences in developing and facilitating gender-sensitive governance training modules.
Educational Background: A Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as political science, economics, social sciences, international relations, law, or gender studies is required. A Bachelor's degree with additional relevant experience may be considered as an alternative qualification.
Experience: A minimum of five years of professional experience in training development and public policy is required. Candidates should have demonstrable experience in creating and facilitating training modules focused on gender-sensitive governance, showcasing their ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Languages: Fluency in Arabic and French is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate in a multilingual environment.
Additional Notes: This consultancy is home-based, with one required trip to either Marrakech or Tangier for the training sessions. The contract duration is until the completion of the training and associated deliverables, with a focus on full-time engagement during the training period.
