Job Overview:
The Programme Associate Nutrition position is crucial for providing specialized technical, analytical, and coordination support for the implementation of nutrition programs, including both in-kind and cash-based transfer (CBT) interventions. The role is designed to ensure effective, efficient, and accountable delivery of assistance that aligns with WFP standards. The Programme Associate will support the implementation and monitoring of nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programs within the Algeria Country Office, bridging technical modality management with field-level implementation. This position requires expertise in beneficiary data platforms and community-level nutrition monitoring, and the incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Nutritionist. The Programme Associate will be responsible for the effective delivery of nutrition assistance, including cash-based transfers and specialized nutrition foods, while providing on-the-ground capacity to partners and ensuring compliance with prevention and treatment initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Associate will have a variety of responsibilities, including assisting in the design and roll-out of targeted nutrition programs such as the Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), blanket and targeted supplementary feeding, and Social and Behavior Change (SBC) initiatives. They will support the identification of potential partners and facilitate partnership negotiations to ensure a collaborative approach to addressing nutritional needs. The role also involves integrating nutrition-sensitive Cash-Based Transfers (CBT) initiatives into the program portfolio, conducting regular field visits to verify the delivery of specialized nutrition commodities, and tracking beneficiary nutritional status data. The Programme Associate will compile, analyze, and interpret program data, prepare internal and donor reports, and manage programmatic data in WFP systems such as SCOPE and COMET. They will coordinate with cooperating partners and financial service providers, review distribution plans, and ensure quality improvement through feedback. Additionally, the Programme Associate will promote cross-cutting issues such as gender, protection, and accountability to affected populations in program design and implementation.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completion of secondary school, with a bachelor's degree in human nutrition, Public Health, Community Health, Food Science, Economics, or a closely related field being highly desirable. The position requires at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in program implementation, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in nutrition programming and/or CBT interventions. Familiarity with working in humanitarian contexts and with NGOs is considered an asset. Candidates should have strong database management and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and excellent communication and negotiation skills. A good understanding of nutrition policies and assessments, as well as the ability to coordinate across multiple units and stakeholders, is essential.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completion of secondary school, with a strong preference for candidates holding a bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as human nutrition, Public Health, Community Health, Food Science, or Economics. Experience:

Languages:
