Job Overview:
The position of Work-study involves supporting the Desk Urgence team, which is responsible for linking country offices with headquarters and providing operational support to field missions. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Desk Urgence Controller and will regularly interact with administrative and financial teams in the field missions supported by the desk. The main objectives of this work-study position include gaining an in-depth understanding of how a country office operates and the interactions between various roles, understanding the tools and procedures of administrative, finance, and HR functions within the organization, positioning oneself as a future professional in the humanitarian sector within a country team, and applying the finance and HR procedures of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Work-study position include supporting the administrative and financial coordinator in allocating expenses incurred at headquarters on behalf of country offices, participating in the accounting and monitoring of desk costs, assisting in the annual accounting closure and analytical closure of missions, and supporting the Desk Controller in accounting tasks related to missions. Additionally, the candidate will manage daily needs of field administrative teams, verify project proposal budgets, assist in preparing financial audits, organize and centralize financial documentation, contribute to analyzing the financial health of country offices, and support recruitment efforts during emergency openings. The role also involves organizing internal and external meetings, translating documents, certifying official documents, managing visa requests, and providing logistical support as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of a Bac +3/4 level (university Master's degree or business school) with a strong interest in the humanitarian sector. A background in finance (management control) is an asset. The candidate should have a good command of the Office suite, particularly Excel, and ideally possess prior international experience (internship, volunteering). The ability to work with accounting software is appreciated, along with teamwork skills, analytical and synthesis capabilities, and a good command of English (oral and written). Autonomy, rigor, versatility, and a willingness to learn both remotely and in a team are essential, as well as a commitment to the principles and work of Solidarités International.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of a Bac +3/4 level, which corresponds to a university Master's degree or a degree from a business school or IAE. A strong interest in the humanitarian sector is essential, and a specialization in finance, particularly in management control, is considered a valuable asset.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have some level of experience, ideally in an international context, which could include internships or volunteer work. This experience is important to ensure that the candidate is familiar with the dynamics of working in a humanitarian environment and can effectively contribute to the team's objectives.

Languages:

Additional Notes:

Benefits include an 80% coverage of health insurance, 50% reimbursement of public transport costs by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, meal vouchers worth €8.90 with a 60% contribution from the organization, and vacation entitlement of 2.0833 days per month.
