Job Overview:
This internship is part of the Enterprise Solutions Service within the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT/ESS) at UNESCAP. The position is unpaid and requires full-time commitment, with interns expected to work five days a week for a total of 35 hours. Interns will be supervised by a staff member in OICT/ESS and will engage in a variety of tasks that align with their individual backgrounds and skills. The internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in software development, particularly in writing C# code, utilizing AI coding assistants, and deploying applications. Interns will also participate in team meetings, prepare documentation, and demonstrate applications to audiences, thereby enhancing their communication and teamwork skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will have a range of responsibilities that may include: writing C# code, utilizing AI services via API, deploying and testing applications, committing code to git repositories, participating in weekly sprint meetings, preparing documentation, and demonstrating applications to various audiences. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and planning skills, as interns will need to collaborate with colleagues, manage their time efficiently, and adjust priorities as necessary. Interns will also be expected to engage in two-way communication, share information, and support team decisions, contributing to the overall goals of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria at the time of application: (a) be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or (b) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent). No prior work experience is required, but candidates should possess relevant training, education, or skills that would benefit the United Nations during their internship. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a commitment to its ideals.

Educational Background:
Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or software engineering. The internship is open to those who are currently studying or have recently graduated, ensuring that applicants have a solid foundation in IT skills and software development principles.

Experience:
No prior work experience is necessary to apply for this internship. However, candidates should have a demonstrated ability to write code in C# and utilize software development tools such as git. Languages:
