Duties and Responsibilities: The Online Volunteer will undertake several key tasks, including: conducting desk research on governance best practices and institutional models relevant to program platforms and organizational structures; reviewing governance frameworks, operational systems, and accountability approaches used by similar initiatives and organizations; identifying and documenting best practices related to governance structures, roles and responsibilities frameworks, accountability and reporting systems, operational policies and procedures, decision-making and oversight mechanisms, and organizational sustainability approaches; compiling findings into concise summaries, presentations, and briefing materials; supporting benchmarking and comparative analysis exercises; and organizing and cataloging governance-related resources, tools, and reference materials. By the end of the assignment, the volunteer is expected to provide actionable recommendations and insights based on their research findings to aid in governance strengthening efforts within Shabab Balad.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Online Volunteer position should possess strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise formats. Familiarity with governance systems, institutional frameworks, and organizational management is essential. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to the principles of equity and child rights, as well as an understanding of the challenges faced by youth platforms and programs.
