Job Overview: The position of Auxiliar de Programas is crucial for the successful implementation of WFP's projects in El Salvador, particularly focusing on enhancing the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change. The Auxiliar de Programas will be responsible for ensuring that project activities are carried out in accordance with established timelines and objectives, facilitating coordination among stakeholders, and verifying the effectiveness of workshops and field practices. Duties and Responsibilities: The Auxiliar de Programas will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Providing technical assistance through field monitoring of project activities, ensuring proper implementation according to established objectives and timelines.
Monitoring participant attendance at workshops and verifying the achievement of objectives during events organized by implementing partners.
Reporting regularly on field activities and ensuring compliance with the project work plan and goals.
Evaluating the impact and effectiveness of community practices implemented in the project components.
Fostering constructive relationships among implementing partners, local authorities, and community beneficiaries.
Coordinating and executing complementary activities with project teams and stakeholders.
Preparing periodic progress reports and technical summaries after field visits, promptly communicating any issues that may affect project timelines.
Monitoring the delivery of goods and services in communities, ensuring adherence to schedules and reporting any logistical changes. 1
Providing technical support for specific project activities as assigned by the national coordinator.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of experience in field projects, particularly in areas related to climate adaptation, watershed management, and community financial inclusion. Knowledge of methodologies for monitoring and providing technical support to partners during field activities is essential. Experience in coordinating with local communities, government institutions, and NGOs is highly desirable, as is the ability to prepare technical reports that include data collection, analysis, and organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with effective communication and interpersonal abilities to facilitate collaborative processes.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in field projects, with a focus on activities that involve direct community engagement and monitoring of project implementers. Experience in climate adaptation, watershed management, and community financial inclusion is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of working effectively with local communities and stakeholders to promote project success.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the role involves direct communication with local communities and stakeholders. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with international teams and partners.
Additional Notes: The position is a service contract at the SC5 level, with an initial probationary period of one year and the possibility of extension. The role is based in Conchagua, La Unión, with periodic travel to San Salvador.
