The position will involve working closely with the Associate Digital Officer and other PSP colleagues, providing a comprehensive learning experience in digital marketing strategies and donor engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including: assisting with the management of the donor mailbox by responding to queries from international donors and supporters through Salesforce; supporting the creation of workflows for enquiry management across various platforms; assisting in the production of fundraising and engagement emails, including performance reporting and management of the email marketing platform Selligent; researching new digital ideas and best practices in customer service, user experience, email marketing, and SEO; updating dashboards for reporting purposes; auditing and testing donation pages to enhance user experience; building creative assets using Canva templates; conducting data quality audits in Google Analytics and media buying tools; assisting with content and performance on Google Ads and Facebook Ads; and performing other tasks as needed to support the team.
Required Qualifications: To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria: they should be either a recent graduate (having completed their studies within two years of applying) or a current student in a graduate or undergraduate program from a university or higher education facility accredited by IAU/UNESCO. Additionally, candidates must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant to the work of UNHCR. It is important to note that individuals with immediate family members who are staff members of UNHCR are not eligible for the internship.
Educational Background: Candidates must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a relevant field, which could include areas such as international relations, communications, marketing, or social sciences. Recent graduates who have completed their studies within the last two years are also eligible to apply for this internship position.
Experience: The internship is designed for individuals who may not have extensive professional experience but possess a strong interest in digital media, fundraising, and marketing. Familiarity with digital communications, social media, and marketing strategies is desirable. Experience with CRM systems, email marketing tools, and Google Analytics would be advantageous but not mandatory. The intern should be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a duration of six months, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the role and gain valuable experience.
Languages: The mandatory language requirement for this position is proficiency in Spanish, both written and verbal. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Spanish are essential for effectively engaging with donors and supporters.
