Job Overview:
The Shelter Cluster Information Management Technical Officer is responsible for ensuring the provision of updated daily data to the cluster Information Coordinator and coordination-team" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">coordination team. This role involves analyzing, verifying, and preparing reports that align with the identified needs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). The officer will design cluster-related products, including infographics, dashboards, maps, and visual materials, while managing the cluster's social media presence and supporting evidence-based advocacy communications. The position requires a proactive approach to information management, ensuring that data is effectively communicated to stakeholders and affected populations in both English and Arabic.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The officer will oversee day-to-day project implementation progress, act as a liaison between information management, cluster coordination, and communications, and ensure compliance with NRC policies and guidelines. Responsibilities include developing user-friendly shelter reporting formats, collecting and analyzing shelter needs and response data, coordinating with OCHA and other cluster IM officers, maintaining the Shelter Cluster Palestine database and website, producing regular fact sheets, and supporting advocacy with accurate information. The officer will also design visual products, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, produce maps using ArcGIS, and translate data into compelling advocacy narratives for donors and policymakers. Additionally, the officer will monitor social media engagement and coordinate messaging with NRC communications teams and partners.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university or college degree in Computer Sciences, Communications, Graphic Design, Geography, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in information management, data analysis, and reporting in a humanitarian or development context is required. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for creating vector graphics and infographics is essential, along with experience managing cluster social media accounts. Candidates should have strong database management skills, an understanding of complex emergencies, and intermediate-level proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Educational Background:
The position requires a university or college degree in a relevant field such as Computer Sciences, Communications, Graphic Design, Geography, or a related discipline. This educational background is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of information management and data analysis in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in information management, data analysis, and reporting within a humanitarian or development setting. This experience is vital for effectively handling the responsibilities of the role and contributing to the organization's mission.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, both written and verbal, at an intermediate level. Knowledge of Arabic is also essential, as the officer will need to communicate effectively with local stakeholders and affected populations. Familiarity with both languages will enhance the officer's ability to perform their duties effectively.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is 6 months, with working hours set at 38 hours per week from Sunday to Thursday. The salary and benefits will be determined according to NRC’s salary scale and terms and conditions, specifically for the Gaza duty station.
