Job Overview: The consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the Health Cluster in Ukraine by collecting and summarizing information from Health Cluster employees and partners. This position involves producing various types of reports that highlight the collective efforts and impact of the Health Cluster in addressing the ongoing health emergency in Ukraine. The consultant will work closely with the cluster coordinator to ensure timely and accurate reporting, which is essential for effective decision-making and advocacy in the humanitarian response. The role requires a strong understanding of the health landscape in Ukraine, particularly in conflict-affected regions, and the ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable reports.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for producing Health Cluster reporting products, ensuring that inputs from various hubs and national team members are integrated effectively. Key responsibilities include compiling monthly summary reports of field monitoring visits, overseeing the preparation of external reporting products, and collaborating with stakeholders to disseminate reports through appropriate channels. The consultant will also design documents for release on Relief Web, compile information for the monthly Health Cluster bulletin, and prepare bi-weekly updates for the health cluster page on OCHA. Additional duties include creating infographics, compiling monthly achievements for WHO reports, contributing to quarterly analysis inputs, and supporting the design of the Public Health Situation Analysis and the annual report.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor’s) in relevant fields such as Journalism, Public Administration, Communication, International Relations, Political Science, or Law. A Master's degree in a related field is desirable. Essential qualifications include at least 2 years of relevant experience in conducting meetings, reporting, and drafting donor/cluster reports, as well as experience in program/project development and monitoring. Knowledge of the Health Cluster and humanitarian principles is crucial, along with strong report-writing skills in English and the ability to manage collaborations among multiple partners.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in fields such as Journalism, Public Administration, Communication, International Relations, Political Science, or Law. A Master's degree in these areas is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's application.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. This includes experience in conducting and reporting on meetings, drafting donor and cluster reports, and involvement in program/project development, planning, implementation, and monitoring. Familiarity with the Health Cluster and humanitarian principles is essential, and experience in field missions or within the UN Common System is desirable.
Languages: Expert written and spoken proficiency in English and Ukrainian is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

The consultant will work off-site and is not expected to travel, although arrangements will be made if travel is necessary. The total contract value is USD 30,000, with a monthly rate of USD 5,000 based on 20 working days per month. Payment will be made monthly upon approval of the Technical Report by the Responsible Officer.
