Job Overview:
The (Senior) Solutions Architect position within the IFC's Corporate Information & Technology (CIT) department is pivotal for delivering and modernizing core financial, investment, and accounting platforms. The role involves working on multiple projects within IFC’s finance portfolio, ensuring that technical solutions align with the unit’s initiatives. The Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership and guidance, overseeing a team of staff and a large group of developers from both on-premises and offshore locations. The position requires a strong focus on solution delivery, application and data architecture design, and adherence to enterprise standards. The architect will also be responsible for integrating advanced technologies such as Generative AI and Large Language Models into financial workflows, enhancing automation and decision-making processes. This role is essential for ensuring that the solutions delivered are efficient, scalable, and reliable, contributing to the overall success of the IFC's mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The (Senior) Solutions Architect will assume the role of Technical Architect, leading solution delivery teams in the implementation, maintenance, and operation of business-critical applications that support IFC’s private sector finance operations. Key responsibilities include: leading the design and modeling of application and data architecture, ensuring quality reviews and adherence to enterprise standards; architecting process integrations with applications and data platforms; providing guidance to stakeholders on technical features of digital solutions; documenting and communicating technical analyses and designs; collaborating with the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Information Security Team to meet security requirements; identifying systemic issues and applying best practices to design and support IT products; integrating Generative AI and LLM solutions into workflows; defining technical and solution architecture principles; coordinating with vendors and consultants; mentoring junior staff; leading hands-on development of prototypes and MVPs; and enforcing security and coding standards for developers.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field, such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Systems, along with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Proven leadership skills in managing large, complex deliverables are essential, with a minimum of 7 years of experience leading teams of developers in environments with shifting priorities and complex IT landscapes. Hands-on technical expertise is required, with the ability to step into development or troubleshooting roles as needed. Candidates should have proven experience in designing and implementing solutions using modern architecture principles, cloud platforms, and services, as well as expertise in application authentication and authorization.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field is required for this position. This educational background ensures that candidates have a solid foundation in technical principles and practices necessary for the role of Solutions Architect.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years specifically in leading large teams of developers. Experience in managing complex deliverables and taking full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of technical solutions is crucial. The role demands a proven ability to work in high-pressure environments and to adapt to shifting priorities.
