Job Overview: The Nutrition ClusterCoordinator will operate under the supervision of the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director and will collaborate closely with the Nutrition Cluster Coordinator and various nutrition partners to provide leadership for the Nutrition Cluster in Afghanistan. The primary objective of this role is to ensure a coherent and effective emergency and humanitarian nutrition response by coordinating the efforts of all partners involved. The responsibilities include contributing to the design of the nutrition cluster strategy and planning responses, coordinating cluster activities in collaboration with stakeholders, monitoring the activities of nutrition partners, and advocating for and mobilizing resources necessary for the implementation of the nutrition cluster strategy. This position is critical in ensuring that the nutrition needs of the affected populations are met efficiently and effectively, particularly in a challenging context like Afghanistan.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Nutrition Cluster Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
Leading the development and implementation of the nutrition cluster strategy in alignment with national and international standards.
Coordinating with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and UN agencies, to ensure a unified approach to nutrition response.
Monitoring and evaluating the activities of nutrition partners to ensure compliance with the cluster strategy and standards.
Facilitating regular meetings and discussions among cluster partners to share information, best practices, and challenges.
Advocating for the allocation of resources to support nutrition interventions and mobilizing support from donors and other stakeholders.
Providing technical guidance and support to partners in the implementation of nutrition programs.
Ensuring that the cluster's response is evidence-based and informed by the latest data and research in nutrition.
Representing the nutrition cluster in relevant forums and meetings at national and international levels.
Preparing reports and documentation on the cluster's activities and progress for stakeholders and donors. 1
Engaging in capacity-building initiatives for local partners to enhance their ability to respond to nutrition needs effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Medicine, or a related field. Additionally, they should have 7-10 years of demonstrated experience in humanitarian nutrition programming, particularly in emergency and protracted crisis contexts. Experience in coordination" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">cluster coordination is essential, and prior work experience in Afghanistan is considered a strong asset. Candidates should also have a comprehensive understanding of Global Nutrition Cluster (GNC) standards and guidance, as well as the humanitarian architecture. Strong coordination, technical, and diplomacy skills are required, along with good managerial and communication skills, including a strong command of professional written and spoken English.

The monthly gross salary ranges from 2130 to 2475 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Non-French citizens will receive a reimbursement of 16% of their gross monthly salary for pension insurance. Additional benefits include a monthly per diem and living allowance of 681 euros net, a country allowance of 450 euros, and a cold allowance for winter equipment purchases. Child allowances are available at 1500 euros per year per child, with a maximum of 6000 euros per year. Transportation and accommodation costs are covered, and medical coverage includes 100% coverage of health and repatriation insurance fees. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 rest and recuperation days, and airfare reimbursement for breaks, along with training and accompaniment opportunities.
