Job Overview:
The consultant will be responsible for developing, validating, and disseminating a comprehensive curriculum on positive masculinity, gender equality, and non-violent communication. This role is crucial in addressing the multidimensional crisis in Haiti, which includes security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security degradation and increased gender-based violence (GBV). The consultant will engage with various stakeholders, including community leaders and youth, to create a structured curriculum that promotes positive masculinity and empowers men and boys as allies in gender equality efforts. The curriculum aims to harmonize approaches and strengthen community capacities, directly impacting 600 beneficiaries, including youth and community leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will undertake several key activities, including conducting a documentary review on positive masculinity and GBV, facilitating multisectoral consultations, and organizing participatory validation workshops. They will develop a structured curriculum and a pedagogical guide, ensuring that the materials are contextually relevant and sensitive to local realities. The consultant will also support community awareness sessions, train community facilitators, and assist in the establishment of networks of engaged men. Deliverables include reports on consultations, a preliminary version of the curriculum, and a final validated curriculum along with a dissemination plan.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in social sciences, education, gender studies, human rights, or related fields. A minimum of five years of experience in designing participatory educational tools focused on gender and GBV is required. Proven experience in engaging men and boys in community settings is essential. Strong writing and organizational skills are necessary, along with the ability to conduct participatory consultations and facilitate inclusive validation processes.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as social sciences, education, gender studies, or human rights is required for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of gender issues and developing effective educational materials.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience, particularly in the design of educational tools that are participatory and focused on gender issues and GBV. Experience in community engagement, particularly with men and boys, is essential to effectively implement the curriculum and facilitate change.

Languages:
Fluency in Haitian Creole and French is mandatory, with proficiency in English considered an asset. This linguistic capability is important for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and for the dissemination of the curriculum materials.
