Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Online UN Volunteer include: conducting comprehensive desk-based mapping of UNDP initiatives and partners related to open and inclusive public spheres, civic engagement, youth participation, and governance in the Asia-Pacific region; covering various stakeholders such as UNDP country offices, civil society organizations (CSOs), youth networks, development partners, think tanks, and academic institutions; collecting, cleaning, and organizing data using provided templates such as Excel or Google Sheets, ensuring proper categorization and tagging of the dataset; supporting basic analysis of the mapped data to identify trends and gaps in thematic focus areas and geographic coverage; identifying potential entry points for UNDP engagement based on the analysis; and contributing to a short summary report (2-3 pages) that includes relevant visualizations to support internal programme planning.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Online UN Volunteer position should possess strong research and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in data collection and organization is essential, along with familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel or Google Sheets. The ability to synthesize information and present findings clearly in written reports is also required.
