Job Overview:
The position of UNDP Gender Team Support Specialist involves working closely with the Governance team and five country offices, including Indonesia, Philippines, Iraq, Kenya, and Uganda. The primary focus is to provide targeted support through digital tools like eMonitor+, which is designed to track tech-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) directed at women environmental human rights defenders. The role includes developing protection measures based on data findings, creating community-driven safety protocols, and enabling women to participate safely and visibly in environmental governance. The specialist will be responsible for supporting the eMonitor+ platform and engaging in various tasks related to monitoring and evaluation of gender-based violence.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the UNDP Gender Team Support Specialist include:

  • Performing any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Additionally, proficiency in data cleaning and classification, as well as experience in impact evaluation, will be highly valued.

A degree or equivalent experience in these areas will be beneficial for understanding the complexities of gender-based violence and environmental governance.

Experience:

Previous experience working with international organizations, particularly in roles related to gender equality, human rights, or environmental governance, will be advantageous. Candidates should also have experience in data analysis and reporting, as well as a proven ability to work in diverse and multicultural environments.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those relevant to the regions of Indonesia, Philippines, Iraq, Kenya, and Uganda, would be considered a valuable asset and could enhance the candidate's ability to engage with local communities and stakeholders effectively.

Additional Notes:
The job may involve working in a dynamic and challenging environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability. While the specific contract duration and seniority level are not mentioned, candidates should be prepared for a role that may involve both full-time and part-time commitments, depending on project needs.
