Job Overview: The IVY Campaign Support Volunteers will play a pivotal role in a social media advocacy campaign commemorating the International Year of Volunteers (IVY) in Malawi. This campaign, running from June to November 2026, seeks to elevate the importance of volunteerism in achieving national development goals. The volunteers will work closely with the Lead Coordinator to ensure the campaign's success by providing essential administrative and logistical support. Their responsibilities will include managing the campaign content calendar, facilitating communication with stakeholders, and creating engaging social media content. Duties and Responsibilities: The Campaign Support Volunteers will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the campaign's success. These include:
Assisting in the development and maintenance of the campaign content calendar to ensure timely delivery of materials and activities.
Supporting communication efforts by following up with webinar speakers, partner organizations, and the broader volunteer team to coordinate logistics effectively.
Helping to draft, schedule, and publish social media posts across multiple platforms, targeting both local and international audiences to maximize outreach.
Organizing and maintaining a digital asset library for the campaign, which includes templates, posters, and other promotional materials to ensure easy access for team members.
Monitoring social media engagement metrics and compiling performance reports to assess the effectiveness of the campaign and inform future strategies.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the IVY Campaign Support Volunteer position should possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail. They should be comfortable working in a team environment and have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design skills would be advantageous.
