Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively for impact.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background is required for this position, typically including a degree in public health, medicine, nursing, social sciences, or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized training in sexual and reproductive health, maternal health, or public health policy would be advantageous and may enhance a candidate's suitability for the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health, maternal health, or related areas. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in a UN context, is highly desirable. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing health programs, conducting training, and engaging with community stakeholders to improve health outcomes.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the working language of UNFPA. Knowledge of local languages spoken in the Federated States of Micronesia would be considered an asset, as it would facilitate better communication with local communities and stakeholders.
