Job Overview: The Logistics/Procurement Officer position is designed to provide essential support for the implementation of logistics and procurement functions specifically in Southern Ukraine. The officer will be responsible for ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in a transparent and accountable manner, adhering to NRC and donor regulations. This role involves preparing and developing status reports as required by management, ensuring proper filing of documents, and promoting ideas for improvement within the support function. The officer will also assist in local market assessments and the preparation of documentation for bids committee meetings, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Logistics/Procurement Officer include:
Ensuring that procurement activities are carried out transparently and accountably at the area office, including procurements requested from other parts of Southern Ukraine.
Advising other departmental staff in the preparation of documents related to payment procedures.
Confirming that all paperwork processes are correct before submission to finance.
Assisting in local market assessments as required.
Preparing documentation for bids committee meetings and ensuring compliance with NRC and donor regulations.
Assisting in tenders and procurement processes as defined by logistics regulations.
Carrying out other logistics duties as assigned in other departments as temporary relief, if required.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Logistician or in Procurement, with previous experience in complex and volatile contexts being essential. Candidates should have documented results related to the responsibilities of the position and must be willing to travel to remote areas and field offices. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, is necessary, as is the ability to work in rural locations and live in basic conditions. Proficiency in the local language (Ukrainian) is mandatory, along with a good knowledge of the English language. Candidates should also possess context-related skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to the role.
Educational Background: A BA Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is required for this position.
