Job Overview:
The position of Local Consultant for the Equal Pay Review and Reporting (EPRR) Instrument involves delivering training to private sector companies on the application of the EPRR tool. The consultant will conduct two training sessions, develop a practical assignment, and provide tailored consultations to assist companies in implementing the EPRR instrument. The role is crucial in promoting gender equality in the workplace by enhancing understanding of pay equity and supporting companies in monitoring and addressing gender-based pay disparities. The consultant will work closely with the WEESC Programme Analyst and Project Analyst, ensuring that the training is effective and meets the needs of the participating companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for delivering two training sessions on the EPRR instrument, including developing and facilitating a practical assignment. They will provide an overview of the EPRR tool, its importance, and implementation strategies, guiding participants in completing the tool and facilitating a review session to address questions. The consultant will also update the EPRR methodology based on feedback from companies, collect and analyze this feedback, and provide individual consultations to up to three companies to support effective implementation of the EPRR instrument. Deliverables include training sessions, a final version of the EPRR methodology, and individual consultation sessions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Gender/Women’s studies, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with seven years of qualifying experience may be accepted. A minimum of five years of professional experience in data collection, analysis, and visualization is required, along with a sound understanding of statistics and experience with data analytics tools such as Excel. Proven experience in conducting training sessions and developing tools for gender statistics is advantageous, as is prior experience with UN/EU agencies in Georgia.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Gender/Women’s studies, or a related field is required for this position. In lieu of an advanced degree, a first-level university degree combined with seven years of relevant experience may be accepted. This educational background ensures that the consultant has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively deliver training and support the implementation of the EPRR instrument.

Experience:
The position requires at least five years of professional experience for candidates with a Master’s degree, or seven years for those with a Bachelor’s degree. This experience should include data collection, analysis, and visualization, as well as familiarity with key statistical concepts and methodologies. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with data analytics tools and conducting training sessions, with prior experience in gender statistics and indicators considered a distinct advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Georgian is required for this position. This language proficiency is essential for effective communication during training sessions and consultations with private sector companies, ensuring that all participants can fully engage with the material and ask questions as needed.
