Job Overview:
The position of National Consultant in Women’s Political Participation/Trainer involves leading the development and delivery of a training module focused on barriers to women's political participation and strategies to promote meaningful leadership in decision-making. This role is part of the Women’s Increased Leadership for Democracy in Georgia (WILD) project, which aims to advance gender equality and women's leadership as essential components of democracy and inclusive development. The consultant will be responsible for designing a curriculum that incorporates local case studies, policy developments, and the experiences of women leaders in Georgia. The consultant will work closely with UN Women to ensure that the training materials are relevant and effective, facilitating workshops and seminars that engage participants in discussions about women's political participation and leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will hold an initial alignment meeting with UN Women to confirm objectives, timeline, deliverables, stakeholder map, and communication protocols. They will develop and submit Module 2 deliverables, including a syllabus, session-level lesson plans, facilitator scripts, and participant materials that are localized to the Georgian context. The consultant will incorporate feedback from UN Women and finalize the training materials. They will coordinate with other trainers to synchronize content and create a seamless learning experience. The consultant will conduct a one-day workshop/seminar aligned with the approved module, which will include facilitation, breakouts, and live Q&A sessions. After the workshop, the consultant will compile and submit post-session outputs, including an executive summary, full facilitator notes, and an anonymized evaluation summary.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Political Science, Public Policy, Gender Studies, International Development, or a related field. A first-level university degree may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree if combined with at least two additional years of qualifying experience. The consultant must have at least five years of professional experience in delivering adult learning/training and capacity-building programs focused on women's political participation, leadership, or inclusion. Additionally, they should have experience in designing gender-responsive training materials and assessments that utilize adult learning principles and participatory methods. Experience in coordination, communication, and reporting is considered an asset, as is experience working with UN agencies or international organizations.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as Political Science, Public Policy, Gender Studies, or International Development. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with at least two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted. This educational background is essential to ensure that the consultant has the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to effectively deliver training on women's political participation and leadership.

Experience:
The consultant is expected to have a minimum of five years of professional experience in delivering adult learning and training programs, specifically focused on women's political participation and leadership. If the candidate holds a bachelor's degree, they should have at least seven years of relevant experience. This experience should include designing gender-responsive training materials and assessments that incorporate adult learning principles. Familiarity with coordination, communication, and reporting processes is advantageous, as is experience working with UN agencies or international organizations.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position. This proficiency is essential for effective communication and the delivery of training materials. While English is mandatory, knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the local context or the participants involved in the training.

Additional Notes:
This consultancy is home-based, but the consultant may need to travel outside of Tbilisi as part of their assignment. The expected completion time for the deliverables is set for May 25, 2026, with a payment schedule on June 20, 202
