Job Overview:
The position of National Consultant on Unconscious Gender Bias / Trainer involves leading the development and delivery of a training module focused on unconscious gender stereotypes and attitudes. The consultant will work within the framework of the Women’s Increased Leadership for Democracy in Georgia (WILD) project, which aims to promote women's leadership and advance gender equality as key drivers for democracy and inclusive development. The consultant will be responsible for creating training materials that help participants understand the concept of unconscious bias and its impact on gendered perceptions and decision-making. This role requires close coordination with UN Women staff and other trainers to ensure a cohesive learning experience. The consultant will also facilitate workshops and compile post-session outputs, contributing to the overall goals of the Leadership Academy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will hold an initial alignment meeting with UN Women to confirm objectives, timeline, deliverables, stakeholder map, and communication protocols. They will develop and submit Module 1 deliverables, including a syllabus, session-level lesson plans, facilitator scripts, and participant materials that are localized to the Georgian context. The consultant will incorporate feedback from UN Women to finalize training materials and will coordinate with other trainers to synchronize content and prevent duplication. They will conduct a one-day workshop/seminar aligned with the approved module, including facilitation, breakouts, and live Q&A. After the workshop, the consultant will compile and submit post-session outputs, including an executive summary and evaluation summary.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Psychology, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field. A first-level university degree may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree if combined with at least two additional years of qualifying experience. The consultant must have at least five years of professional experience in delivering adult learning/training and capacity-building programs on gender, unconscious bias, or inclusive practices. They should also have experience in designing gender-responsive training materials and assessments that incorporate adult learning principles and participatory methods. Experience in delivering keynote addresses or working with UN agencies is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Psychology, Political Science, or Public Policy. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with additional qualifying experience may be acceptable.

Experience:
The consultant should have a minimum of five years of professional experience in relevant fields, with seven years required if the candidate holds only a bachelor's degree. This experience should include delivering adult learning and training programs focused on gender and unconscious bias, as well as designing gender-responsive training materials.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be beneficial but is not explicitly stated as mandatory.
