Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for supporting the implementation of education programme activities, which includes assisting in the follow-up of activities implemented by partners, contributing to basic monitoring tasks, and strengthening their understanding of programme delivery. They will prepare for meetings by drafting minutes, briefing notes, and presentations, gaining exposure to UNICEF's coordination processes. Additionally, interns will contribute to communication and visibility efforts by documenting activities, success stories, and short reports. They will participate in field visits to gain direct exposure to UNICEF operations and community-level interventions, assist in collecting qualitative information, and provide general support to the Education Section by bringing in their academic knowledge and skills to enhance programme delivery.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this internship, candidates must be enrolled in a degree programme, in graduate school, or be a recent university graduate (master’s or higher) in fields such as international development, project management, social sciences, or related disciplines. Fluency in English or French is required, and candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to UNICEF's mission and values.
Educational Background: Candidates must have a relevant educational background, which includes being currently enrolled in or having recently graduated from a degree programme in international development, project management, social sciences, or related fields.
