Job Overview:
The Online Volunteer position at UNICEF involves working under the guidance of the Social & Behavior Change Manager (SBC) to migrate life skills modules and activities from PDF format to the Pacific Internet of Good Things (IoGT) platform. This role is crucial for enhancing digital engagement and accessibility for children, adolescents, and vulnerable communities in the Pacific Islands. The volunteer will be responsible for converting content, ensuring clarity and accessibility, and creating interactive elements such as quizzes. The successful candidate will play a significant role in supporting community engagement and promoting sustainable social change by making essential life skills information available online in a user-friendly format.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Online Volunteer include:
  • Converting life skills modules and activities from PDF to web pages on the IoGT platform, ensuring accurate and complete transfer of content.
  • Supporting the design and layout of the platform to enhance clarity, accessibility, and mobile-friendliness.
  • Creating interactive activities and quizzes based on the module content, which will be developed after reviewing the existing materials.
  • Uploading and organizing content using the existing content management system, ensuring that all information is correctly placed and formatted.
  • Ensuring the correct placement of images, captions, and alternative text to support the content.
  • Checking the layout, links, and consistency across pages for quality assurance.
  • Coordinating remotely with the SBC Manager to incorporate feedback and updates into the content.
  • Ensuring compliance with UNICEF branding and content guidelines throughout the process.
  • Delivering updated IoGT web pages with migrated life skills modules and activities that are clear, accessible, and user-friendly.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Online Volunteer position include:
  • Strong understanding of web content management systems and experience in web design.
  • Proficiency in digital content creation and editing, with a focus on clarity and user engagement.
  • Familiarity with UNICEF's mission and values, particularly regarding children's rights and well-being.
