Job Overview: The Supply Chain Specialist position at FAO is designed for qualified senior professionals who will be included in a roster for potential assignments related to the expansion and orchestration of FAO supply chains at a global level. Duties and Responsibilities: The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including providing analytical and technical support to supply chain initiatives, assisting in data collection and analysis related to supply chain performance, maintaining trackers and reporting tools, and producing routine status updates. The role also involves documenting processes, developing training materials, and coordinating training and capacity development activities. Additionally, the specialist will support administrative tasks such as knowledge management and filing, ensuring effective organization of working documents. Other related tasks may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must meet specific minimum requirements to be considered for this position. For consultants, an advanced university degree in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, business administration, economics, or a closely related field is required. Those with a bachelor's degree must have two additional years of relevant professional experience. For PSA roles, a university degree in a related field is necessary. Furthermore, candidates should have at least one year of relevant professional experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or related areas, preferably within the UN system. A working knowledge of English at Level C is also required.

For PSA roles, a university degree in a similar field is acceptable.
