Job Overview:
The Project Manager will play a crucial role in the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, which is a significant global health initiative funded by the United States Government. This position involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget constraints. The Project Manager will be responsible for acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and external clients to ensure successful project delivery. Additionally, the role includes overseeing quality control throughout the project lifecycle and managing subawards under the EpiC project in Jamaica. The Project Manager will also provide capacity development and technical support to sub-recipients to enhance their grant management systems and ensure compliance with sub-agreements. This position requires collaboration with technical and finance teams to ensure that subrecipients achieve successful and compliant performance, ultimately contributing to the strengthening of global health security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security in Jamaica.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager's duties include developing and delivering a comprehensive project management plan that encompasses all project details, coordinating the grant process within the country team, and liaising effectively with headquarters teams to award and implement grant awards. The Project Manager will work closely with the finance team to develop grant packages, review subrecipient budgets, and ensure alignment across program descriptions, targets, and budgets. Maintaining accurate sub-grant and contract tracking tools is essential, as is conducting on-site visits to validate budget compliance and implementation progress. The Project Manager will also be responsible for developing project plans, documentation, training, presentations, and budget proposals for management and staff. Regular evaluation of project progress, building partnerships vital to project success, and establishing communication schedules to update stakeholders are also key responsibilities. The Project Manager will contribute to reports for management and funders and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts, practices, and procedures, along with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as demonstrated project and personnel management abilities. The ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate with others is crucial, as is the capacity to adapt and resolve problems to ensure project completion. Familiarity with project management software and technologies is required, as well as the ability to recognize the need for standardization while balancing client and organizational needs in systems design.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree or its international equivalent in fields such as Civil Society, Communication and Social Marketing, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Gender, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology, Youth, or a related field is required for this position.

Experience:
Typically, candidates should have a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience with project management principles and practices, including at least 2+ years of line management experience. Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization is preferred, along with experience in international or domestic program development or project management.

Languages:
