Job Overview: The position of Pasante de Operaciones de Tecnologías de la Información is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in a university program or have recently graduated. The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Information Technology Officer, supporting the development and execution of operational activities within the technology unit. The role requires a proactive approach to managing documentation and ensuring that all records are maintained in an organized and accessible manner. The intern will be expected to contribute to various projects, enhancing their understanding of IT operations while gaining practical experience in a humanitarian context. Duties and Responsibilities:
Documentation, Reports, and Processes: Strengthen knowledge management within the technology unit by generating support documentation and resources that facilitate effective and efficient process management. This includes creating and socializing applicable documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manuals, and checklists, as well as developing and updating content on the wiki for end-users.
Help Desk and Support: Provide first-level support ensuring compliance with service level agreements established by the organization, based on ITIL best practices. This involves delivering efficient technical support to hardware and WFP users, managing service requests, incidents, and problems reported through the service desk, and configuring and assigning computing equipment to end-users.
Assist with other activities related to the position as designated by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in a recognized undergraduate program (minimum of seventh semester) or a graduate program in Systems Engineering or related fields. Recent graduates (within the last 12 months) are also eligible to apply. Desired experience includes familiarity with computer equipment configuration and Office 365, as well as SharePoint. Candidates should possess problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting networks, computers, and devices using creativity and technical knowledge.
