Job Overview:
The position of Coordinador/a Clúster Sector Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutrición involves leading and representing the Food Security and Nutrition Cluster in Colombia, which is co-led by WFP, UNICEF, and FAO. The cluster plays a crucial role in coordinating humanitarian responses to crises stemming from armed conflict and natural disasters, as well as addressing the challenges posed by the influx of migrants from Venezuela. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring timely, coherent, and effective food security and nutrition interventions, working closely with government entities and humanitarian partners. This role requires strategic planning and operational execution to enhance the cluster's capacity and facilitate effective humanitarian assistance. The coordinator will also lead the transition process of the cluster, ensuring that functions are sustainably transferred to national structures while avoiding gaps in humanitarian response.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the position include leading the strategic analysis of the Food Security and Nutrition Cluster to define transition scenarios, coordinating the participatory development of the transition plan, identifying national capacities for coordination, facilitating structured dialogues with government entities, and ensuring alignment with the Humanitarian Country Team and other clusters. The coordinator will also support inter-agency processes related to prioritization and response articulation, lead the coordination of emergency humanitarian responses, maintain communication with global cluster networks, and document lessons learned. Additionally, the coordinator will be involved in joint planning of needs assessments, support capacity-building initiatives, and promote information sharing among cluster members. The role requires active participation in coordination meetings and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the humanitarian response.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a preference for those holding a professional degree or postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields such as social sciences, political science, economics, agricultural sciences, health sciences, or business administration. A master's degree in humanitarian action, development, public policy, or food security is highly desirable. Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in humanitarian work, including at least 2 years in food security and nutrition-related roles, with experience in emergency response and coordination. Knowledge of humanitarian architecture and coordination mechanisms is essential, along with strong strategic and operational planning skills, and the ability to manage complex political situations. Excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a commitment to social responsibility are also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes at least the completion of secondary education. A professional degree in relevant fields is desirable, and a master's degree in areas such as humanitarian action, development, public policy, or food security is considered highly advantageous. Candidates with specialized training or certifications in humanitarian response or food security will be viewed favorably.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in humanitarian work, with at least 2 years specifically focused on food security and nutrition. Candidates should have a proven track record in emergency response and coordination, as well as experience working with international cooperation agencies. Familiarity with the humanitarian context in Colombia and the ability to navigate complex political environments are critical for success in this role.

Languages:
