Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct system maintenance operations, including monitoring, diagnosing, and optimizing systems to ensure effective functionality.
  • Manage technology maintenance tasks, including standard repair, configuration, and storage, in compliance with data protection and access control mechanisms.
  • Prepare files and systems for inventory and archiving tasks, ensuring that website content and directories are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assign tasks to colleagues, ensuring they are completed according to agreed standards and timelines to maintain effective service delivery.
  • Respond to various technology and systems inquiries to assist WFP staff in delivering their services.
  • Provide standard training to end-users on technology and systems, ensuring effective utilization of these resources.
  • Systematically install server equipment and software, conducting testing and troubleshooting to contribute to effective technology operations.
  • Maintain computer records, updating websites and statistical databases to ensure information is current and well-organized.
  • Support the development of standard materials, such as training documentation and web content, on behalf of senior officials to ensure staff access to necessary information. 1
  • Suggest improvements in methods and processes to support continuous enhancement of IT services. 1
  • Follow established emergency intervention processes and procedures as needed to help create conditions conducive to meeting emergency food assistance needs. 1
  • Automate operational and administrative processes using technological tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and optimize workflow in coordination with user areas.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum standard academic qualifications required include completion of pre-university education. A post-secondary certificate in the relevant functional area is desirable. Candidates must possess five years of experience in the relevant functional area. Proficiency in Spanish is mandatory, and an intermediate level of English is desirable. Candidates should also have experience in resolving more complex technical problems and working with department heads to define functional area needs. Familiarity with customer service standards and the ability to address related issues or escalate them to higher authorities is also required.

Educational Background:
