Job Overview: The position of Asistente de Programas involves specialized and standardized activities related to policies and programs that support the effective delivery of assistance measures. The Asistente de Programas will be integral in supporting project management and general office support, aligning with established goals and adhering to WFP policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct specialized and standardized activities within the technical area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with broader program policies and guidelines.
Provide project management support and general office assistance, focusing on established goals and applying WFP policies and procedures.
Collect data and support analysis and reporting on food assistance needs, resource utilization, program progress, and achievements to inform operational decision-making.
Maintain meticulous and timely data recording within the technical area of responsibility, adhering to institutional standards and guidelines.
Collaborate and exchange information with internal counterparts to support effective implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
Assist in communication activities with partners, agencies, NGOs, and local public institutions.
Serve as a point of contact for general inquiries regarding operations and seek assistance when necessary.
Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP can respond quickly and deploy necessary resources to affected areas at the onset of a crisis.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed pre-university education, with a preference for those who can present a post-secondary education certificate in the relevant functional area. A minimum of five years of experience in the relevant functional area is required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of project management, data analysis, and effective communication skills. Familiarity with emergency preparedness and response practices is also essential.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes the completion of pre-university education. A post-secondary education certificate in a relevant functional area is highly desirable and will be considered an asset during the selection process.
