Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include: conducting thorough research and analysis of decisions made by prosecutor's offices and courts; performing desk research focused on criminal and transitional justice as well as international law; drafting various documents such as reports, memoranda, and background papers; attending conferences and meetings to summarize discussions and outcomes; assisting in the organization of events that align with the objectives of the Rule of Law Section; and undertaking any additional duties as assigned by supervisors. This hands-on experience will provide interns with valuable insights into the workings of an international organization and the complexities of legal processes in a transitional justice context.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet several essential qualifications to be considered for this internship. Applicants should be under the age of 30 at the time of the application deadline. They must be in their final year of higher education at the graduate or postgraduate level or have graduated within the last two years. The OSCE does not provide remuneration for interns, but non-resident interns may receive a small compensation towards living costs. Interns are required to have valid health insurance coverage for the duration of their internship, and those without such coverage must enroll in the OSCE's group health insurance scheme at their own expense.
