Job Overview:
The Talent Management Expert position at ESA is a pivotal role within the Talent and Culture Competence Centre, which is part of the Human Resources Department. This division is responsible for delivering high-quality HR services to a diverse workforce of over 7,700 employees. The role involves developing and implementing HR policies and solutions that encompass a wide range of areas such as talent acquisition, employer branding, performance management, and employee engagement. The successful candidate will contribute to shaping a skills-based talent strategy that aligns with ESA's missions and long-term workforce sustainability. This position requires a proactive approach to research, design, and implement leading HR practices and solutions, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of the organization and its workforce.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Talent Management Expert, your primary responsibilities will include researching and benchmarking best practices in HR, designing and implementing talent policies and frameworks, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational needs. You will prepare high-quality materials for communication with stakeholders, leverage people analytics to inform strategic decisions, and contribute to the HR digital agenda by exploring innovative methodologies. Additionally, you will embed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles into all talent projects, ensuring that ESA's commitment to these values is reflected in its HR practices. Your role will also involve continuous improvement of talent products and processes, ensuring they remain relevant and effective in supporting ESA's objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, Psychology, or a related field. A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in HR policies and talent management solutions is required. Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor's degree and an additional four years of relevant professional experience may also be considered. Strong analytical skills, experience in change management, and a solid understanding of HR best practices are essential. Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills are also required, along with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences, including senior management.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a master's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or Psychology. Candidates with a bachelor's degree may be considered if they have additional relevant professional experience. The emphasis is on having a strong foundation in HR principles and practices, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.

Experience:
The position requires at least four years of relevant professional experience in HR policies and talent management solutions. Candidates should have experience managing HR policies in large, multicultural organizations and should be familiar with change management and people analytics. Experience in conducting qualitative studies, including surveys and focus groups, is also beneficial. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing effective HR solutions and will be comfortable working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is one of the working languages of ESA. Knowledge of French is also required, and proficiency in another language from one of the ESA member states would be considered an asset. The ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages will enhance collaboration within the diverse workforce at ESA.

This position is a four-year appointment, which may be extended to an indefinite duration based on performance and organizational needs. The role is based in various locations, including Noordwijk, the Netherlands; Darmstadt, Germany; Frascati, Italy; Villanueva de la Cañada, Spain; and Paris, France.
